About Us

Lowcountry Renewal is a sober living community in Charleston SC, offering three structured homes designed to support long-term recovery. Two of our homes are located in the West Ashley area, and it is 10 minutes from downtown Charleston. The other home is located in downtown Charleston. Our homes provide a safe, stable, and substance free environment where residents can focus on personal growth, accountability, and long term recovery.

We understand that the transition from treatment to everyday life can be challenging. We believe recovery is a process of rebuilding-one day at a time, with purpose, structure and support. That's why our program is designed to offer structure and consistency, while still encouraging personal responsibility. We recognize that environment plays a critical role in recovery for drug and alcohol addiction. The people you are surrounded by, the structure of your daily life and the stability of your living space all have a direct impact on long-term success. At Lowcountry Renewal, we intentionally create an environment that supports positive change; one that removes common triggers, encourages healthy habits, and reinforces accountability. By surrounding residents with peer support and clear expectations, we help create the conditions necessary for lasting recovery.

Structure is a key part of our program. Each home operates with clearly defined house rules designed to promote respect, responsibility, and consistency. Residents are expected to maintain sobriety, follow curfews, participate in recovery-oriented activities, and contribute positively to the household. In addition, weekly chores are assigned to ensure that each resident takes ownership of the living environment, helping to build discipline, teamwork, and pride in the home.
